My wife teaches at a STEM middle school. Nearly all of the students are lazy, inconsiderate, and dumbasses, regardless of their skin color. These students are failing on multiple levels and the school's admins don't give a shit.
It's more than anti-social behavior. These students have learned from an early age that there are no consequences for their actions.
>allowed to turn in assignments months late
>allowed to cheat on tests (they're simply given a "make-up" test as, and I quote, "You cannot punish their grades because of their behavior.")
>allowed to scream and yell while in class and walking down the halls
>don't have to take notes in class
>no textbooks
>inability to follow instructions
>cannot write coherent sentences
>horrible spelling & punctuation
>etc., etc., etc.
So what happens when teachers try to push back? The students scream and yell, the admins normally cave, and teachers are the ones who are told to stand down. The students then advance to the next level and are the next teacher's problem.
It's CRIMINAL what these administrators are allowing the students to do. America's future is screwed unless we can take back our education system.
