OK. So to be more clear on why I posted the Toronto Sun stories

An Anon had mentioned dig on Epstein and then these articles appeared in the Sun. This one, in particular gives a synopsis of his pedophilia and how he got such a light sentence.

Billionaire perv amassed network of underage girls

JEFFREY EPSTEIN KNEW EVERYBODY

From former President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, a Trump cabinet member, Prince Andrew, society maven Ghislaine Maxwell and a coterie of other socialites, business poohbahs and entertainment industry big wheels.

And these powerful people kept Epstein rolling in his bog of slime.

Now, the Miami Herald reports the sickening extent Epstein’s powerful friends kept him from doing hard time.

QUOTE

“I don’t think anyone has been told the truth about what Jeffrey Epstein did,” Epstein victim Michelle Licata told the Herald. “He ruined my life and a lot of girl’s lives. People need to know what he did and why he wasn’t prosecuted so it never happens again.”

FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES

In 2007, Epstein — now charged with a slew of sex crimes — did a deal that would see him serve just 13 months in the Palm Beach County Jail on two prostitution beefs.

His four co-accused? They got immunity. No names.

His dealmaker was a Republican fixer and U.S. Attorney in Miami, Alexander Acosta, now Secretary of Labour in the Trump administration.According to the Herald, Acosta’s moves effectively scuttled a federal probe into Epstein.

The billionaire’s lawyers dictated the terms of the deal.

One prosecutor wondered how the U.S. could “basically let the criminal defendant to draw up the deal.”

FUN WITH MATH

In addition, the deal effectively whitewashed how many girls Epstein molested between 2001 and 2005. And it also limited the amount of coverage the case received.

“In never consulting with the victims, and keeping it secret, it showed that someone with money can buy his way out of anything,” said lawyer Bradley Edwards, who is representing two Epstein victims.

OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE

Detectives believed all along that powerful elements in Palm Beach were doing their utmost to obstruct the probe.

“This was not a ‘he said, she said’ situation. This was 50-something ‘shes’ and one ‘he’ and all the ‘shes’ basically told the same story,” former Palm Beach police chief Michael Reiter told the Herald.

EASY DOES IT

As for jail, sex offender Epstein was kept in his own wing of the jail and would leave for up to 12 hours at a time on “work release.” He allegedly breached many conditions of his parole but was not taken to task for them.

In Palm Beach, sex offenders do not qualify for work release.

THE VICTIMS

“Jeffrey preyed on girls who were in a bad way, girls who were basically homeless. He went after girls who he thought no one would listen to and he was right,” said Courtney Wild, who met Epstein when she was 14.

He liked his girls aged 13 to 16, white, prepubescent appearing and easily manipulated.

Epstein would pay the girls to give him massages, they would undress and then perform sexual acts. He would then pay them to bring him more girls. It was $200 for a massage.

Other times, Epstein’s “Ukrainian sex slave” would join in for a threesome, penetrating the girls with a strap-on sex toy while the billionaire watched.

The Herald identified around 80 girls who were victimized by Epstein. One is a Hollywood star.

THE BIG APPLE

In New York — where the filthy financier has a home — DA Cyrus Vance bent over backwards in 2011 to try and change Epstein’s sex offender status.

He had been designated as likely to reoffend. The judge in the case was flabbergasted.

“I’m a little overwhelmed because I have never seen a prosecutor’s office do anything like this,” Judge Rick Pickholtz said, adding the DA would unlikely be going to bat for Joe Average the same way.

WHAT NEXT?

A civil trial is slated Dec. 4 and another slated for next year will target the secretive rich man’s deal that saved Epstein from hard time — and real recriminations.

Part 2

Unfortunately the trial Dec 4

Rich sex offender settles suit, preventing testimony by teen accusers

"The lawsuit that was settled Tuesday did not touch directly on Epstein’s alleged predilection for sex with underage girls. It was a defamation suit brought by a lawyer, Bradley Edwards, who said Epstein tried to smear him.

Edwards, who represents some of Epstein’s alleged victims, had planned to put some of them on the stand if the lawsuit had gone to trial.

Because of the settlement, which included an apology from Epstein and the payment of an undisclosed sum, that won’t happen. But lawyers for the accusers are continuing to wage a separate battle in federal court to get Epstein’s plea bargain thrown out and expose him to prosecution again."

And so…..the story gores on and on and on
