He was brought in as AG, knowing beforehand he would recuse himself from the SC investigation purely for optics to allow RR to theoretically hang himself. He also knew POTUS would troll him on Twitter and occasionally in a speech. He was told to keep quiet and do his job; he understood his job and role. He deserves an Oscar, if I am correct.

His job was to investigate “other” matters, including MS13, corruption and the cast of characters previously named here and also in the Wikileaks's released emails. He would also focus on human trafficking and the children as well.

He would then appoint Huber to investigate and collect all the dirt, and bring forth the indictments.

He knew his time would be limited, and the day after the 2018 election he would resign. However, I don't feel he has truly gone away. He hadn't uttered a word.
