The Meyer-Briggs test is actually a fairly useful way to categorize people. Much more so than any other psychological test out there.
There's an esoteric angle to it as well. Compare the 16 "court cards" of the tarot deck with MB personality types. There's a 1-to-1 correspondence.

This is correct, but it's not a "problem", it's simply the way it's supposed to be.
Some people are born to lead, some people are born to follow. I mean this in the most literal sense, evolution has actually created genes that make people leaders or followers!
And it has finely tuned the proportions so that every leader gets an optimal number of followers. Neither would be useful without the other!
And it's the same with the Meyer-Briggs types - they are real, they are genetic, and their proportions represents Nature's best guess at the optimal mix to make for a healthy and productive society.
The INTP type is called "The Thinker". That's our job! The task of doing the thinking falls on our shoulders, and it's useless to complain about others not being able to participate, because they have other purposes, and they are equally crucial to the success of the human race.

A well-built 20 yo mechanical device is still usually just fine, mechanically speaking. Problem is when it needs PC drivers. Eventually you just need to give up and replace your trusty device (built like a tank) with some cheap Chinese junk that falls apart next year.
