I think the CF is in the news because our friends want to start pulling Huber into the spotlight.
When he testifies he will not be able to disclose anything other than that there is an ongoing investigation.
Mark Meadows and Congress are highlighting the crimes of the CF in order to prepare the battlefield for when Huber goes public.
Congress lends legitimacy to the investigations and minimizes the concerns around it being a political witch hunt.
Remember, it was Congress that clamored for a Special Counsel to investigate CF and the DOJ/FBI.
Sessions responded by announcing in April that Huber was appointed in Nov 2017.
POTUS and MI Team are using Congress to drive the executive branch investigations.
Huber's testimony will be limited, but eventually all will be revealed.
