Question for you OldHags:

Back in the day, when people would dial "O" for Operator, to reach the telephone operator, did you actually dial O which I think was located on the #6, or did you dial the #0 which comes after #9. And maybe people just called it "Dial O for Operator" because the 0 was circular?
