U.S. Says Russia, Syria Gassed People In Aleppo City To Create Pretext For Attack On Idlib

UPDATE: The Russian Defense Ministry reacted to accusations by saying that the supply schedule of chemical weapons by the Western special services to the terrorists in Syria is synchronized with State Department’s statements. The defense minsitry added that it has undeniable evidence that the chemical weapons attack was carried out by militants.

According to the Russian side, the US may have been using chenical weapons accusations against Russia and Syria to draw attention from its own war crimes in the area of Hajin in the Euphrates Valley.

A few moments ago the US State Deparment officially accused the Syrian government and Russian forces of using chemical weapons in Aleppo city on November 24 in order to create a pretext for an offensive on the militant-held part of Idlib province in northwestern Syria.

On November 24, 2018, the Assad regime and Russia falsely accused the opposition and extremist groups of conducting a chlorine attack in northwestern Aleppo. The United States strongly refutes this narrative and has credible information that pro-regime forces likely used teargas against civilians in Aleppo on November 24. The United States has information indicating Russian and Syrian personnel were involved in the teargas incident, and believes that both countries are using it as an opportunity to undermine confidence in the ceasefire in Idlib.

The United States is deeply concerned that pro-regime officials have maintained control of the attack site in its immediate aftermath, allowing them to potentially fabricate samples and contaminate the site before a proper investigation of it by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. We caution Russia and the regime against tampering with the suspected attack site and urge them to secure the safety of impartial, independent inspectors so that those responsible can be held accountable.

The chemical attack on the government-held city of Aleppo took during the late hours of November 24 and injured over 100 civilians. Syrian and Russian sources, including observers from the ground, reported that it was carried out by a group of radical militants operating in the area. It followed a series of violations of the ceasefire regime in the city’s western countryside by militant groups linked to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda).

Ahead of the attack, Syrian and Russian forces repeatedly warned that militants and their helpers from the White Helmets in Idlib still pose chemical weapons, which could be used for provocations. Nonetheless, immediately after the attack, representatives of the “opposition” started speculating that the “Assad regime” used chemical weapons against the city under its control to undermine the ceasefire. These speculations were dissiminated by multiple mainstream media outlets. On December 7, they were officially repeated by the Washington.

James Comey Declines to Answer ‘Many’ Questions During Hill Testimony

Former FBI Director James Comey refused to answer several questions during his closed-door interview with House investigators on Friday, according to a report.

Fox News, citing several lawmakers, reported that Comey’s lawyers “instructed” their client not to respond to questions regarding the FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information, Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants, and the Steele dossier.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), who stepped outside to talk to reporters during the hearing, expressed dissatisfaction with Comey’s apparent inability to responded to various questions.

“One of the disappointments of this deposition so far has been the amount of times in which the FBI believes that Congress doesn’t have a right to know,” Issa said begrudgery.

The California Republican revealed Comey’s lawyers, one of which works for the Department of Justice, asked him not to provide answers to “a great many questions that are clearly items at the core of our investigation” — a directive the fired FBI Director abided by in a “gleeful” fashion, Issa told Fox News. “The Department of Justice is going to have to agree to allow him to come back and answer a great many questions that currently he is not answering,” said Issa.

Comey, whose interview is scheduled to conclude at 4:15 p.m. local time, may issue a statement shortly after his testimony.

House Judicial Committee members told Fox News that they will spend a great deal of time questioning Comey about his decision to “draft the 2016 statement recommending against filing criminal charges in the Clinton email probe before the former secretary of state was even interviewed.”

Friday’s hearing is likely the final opportunity Republican lawmakers will have to question Comey as part of their probe into the decision-making process of the FBI and Justice Department during the 2016 presidential election. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the incoming chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, vowed Friday to end the probe, claiming it is a “waste of time” because its aim is to divert attention from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe. “The entire purpose of this investigation is to be a diversion of the real investigation, which is Mueller. There is no evidence of bias at the FBI and this other nonsense they are talking about,” Nadler told reporters outside Comey’s testimony.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) announced a joint investigation into decisions made by the FBI and Justice Department in 2016. Both committees have sought answers to why FBI official chose to publically announce their investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information and why the former Secretary of State was ultimately exonerated.

Specifically, the US alleges that Meng helped conceal the company's true relationship with a firm called Skycom, a subsidiary closely tied to its parent company as it did business with Iran.

Meng used this deception to lure banks into facilitating transactions that violated US sanctions, exposing them to possible fines. The prosecutor didn't name the banks, but US media on Thursday reported that a federal monitor at HSBC flagged a suspicious transaction involving Huawei to US authorities, according to Bloomberg. Prosecutors also argued that Meng has avoided the US since learning about its probe into possible sanctions violations committed by Huawei, and that she should be held in custody because she's a flight risk whose bail could not be set high enough.

New FBI Docs Released on Hillary Clinton Email Investigation – Clinton Insiders Questioned by Feds Used Identical Talking Points

New FBI docs were released Friday on the Hillary Clinton private server/email investigation.

102 pages were omitted and many of the pages had redactions, however the notes revealed that people connected to Hillary Clinton acted surprised about her private server, claimed they “didn’t recall” anything and used identical talking points when answering questions by the feds.

Judge Orders State and Justice Departments to Reopen Clinton Email Case

A federal judge has ordered the U.S. State and Justice Departments to reopen the case to determine if Hillary Clinton used a private email server to avoid public disclosure laws during her tenure as Secretary of State.

In doing so, U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth, an appointee of Ronald Reagan, eviscerated the previous administration’s claims of transparency, something President Obama touted throughout his time in the White House.

“Faced with one of the gravest modern offenses to government openness,” Lamberth penned in his opinion, “(the Obama administration’s) State and Justice departments fell far short” of the legal requirements behind the Freedom of Information Act.

The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, seeking emails related to the attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

Both departments have spent years trying to avoid disclosure of those emails.

Lamberth said the order to provide the relevant records requested was necessary to rule out “egregious government misconduct,” in the departments’ efforts to avoid disclosing them.

One of the former Kozinski clerks, Heidi Bond, who was his clerk between 2006 and 2007 has gone on the record with allegations that on multiple occasions the judge summoned her alone to his chambers in order to show her pornography which was unrelated to any case before the judge. He then asked if the images turned her on. Bond recounts at least three different instances of being shown porn by her boss and says the experiences were shocking. She has also written an extremely disturbing first-person account of her experiences of clerking for Judge Kozinski where she also details Kozinski isolating her from her co-clerks to discuss his sexual history

The Fallout continues today as Harvard Law students seek to stop future attacks:

In August, a group of Harvard and Yale law students sent a memo to the Judicial Conference of the United States — the policy-making body for U.S. federal courts — urging the conference to a “adopt reforms regarding the role and responsibilities of law schools in reporting and responding to complaints of harassment and other abusive workplace practices.”

That memo came in response to recommendations put forward by the Federal Judiciary Workplace Conduct Working Group, a committee formed following reports that former Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski sexually harassed several of his clerks and employees. Kozinski, who stepped down in the wake of the allegations, has said he never intended to make his clerks uncomfortable.

In October, members of the Pipeline Parity Project penned an open letter to the Judicial Conference calling for three policies they believed were missing from the working group’s recommendations: a climate survey, an informal reporting structure, and a centralized office to receive reports. Hundreds of students from law schools across the country signed the letter. Pipeline Parity Project members also sent recommendations to the Judicial Conference earlier this month.

Second-year Law student and Pipeline Parity Project member Emma R. Janger said in an interview Thursday that the group set out at its founding to organize in response to Kozinski’s alleged sexual harassment of clerks.

“One of the absolutely founding sort of impetuses for Pipeline was the allegations that came out against Ninth Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski,” Janger said. “One of the reasons Pipeline was founded was in response . . . the fact that as much as the allegations sent shockwaves, by many important players in the legal profession, Kozinski’s harassment was viewed as an open secret.”

Legal Defense Trust Fund To Face Judicial Scrutiny – Raniere’s Attorney Suggests There May Be Multiple Contributors

In an earlier post, we noted that yesterday’s Status Conference before Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis was very brief – and that it focused mostly on the Legal Defense Trust Fund that was reportedly set up by Seagram’s heiress Clare Bronfman just before she herself was indicted.

And we reported that Judge Garaufis has decided to look into the details of the trust in camera – which simply means that he’ll be doing his analysis in his chambers and not sharing whatever it is he decides to review with the prosecution.

As previously reported, one of the attorneys who represents the trustee for the Legal Defense Trust Fund refused to turn over a copy of the documentation concerning the establishment of the Trust to the prosecution.

Needless to say, if Judge Garaufis decides he needs to look at those documents, he’ll likely get to do just that.

The judge made it clear today that he’s going to look at all the details regarding the Legal Defense Trust Fund. That includes how the trust was set up, where the money came from that went into the Trust, and how those funds have been spent over the course of the last five months or so.

And as reported in The New York Post, Judge Garaufis’ scrutiny of the Trust may reveal that it has received funds from other people besides Clare Bronfman.

As the Post reported, when Raniere’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, was asked about the Trust, he “…admitted that he didn’t know who all the contributors to the defense fund were”.

Let’s back up a bit – and parse through what Mr. Agnifilo was saying here.

Clearly, his response indicated two things: (1) that he knew the name of at least one of the contributors to the Trust; and (2) that there was more than one contributor.

Based on prior filings in this case – and various tidbits of information that have been shared with us by a variety of people – we originally concluded that the Legal Defense Trust Fund had been funded entirely by Clare Bronfman (We had also been told that Clare had originally put $10 million into the Trust).

But, based on Agnifilo’s response to one of Judge Garaufis’ questions in yesterday’s Status Conference, it now appears that there is at least one other contributor to the Trust – and maybe several such entities.

So the question now becomes: “Who might be willing to throw some money into the pot to provide top-flight defense attorneys to the Vanguard and some of his followers?

Macron could be replaced by French Army General, according to former MEP

Amid tensions between the French government and the ‘yellow vests’, former MEP Daniel Cohn-Bendit has suggested that French President Emmanuel Macron could be replaced by a French Army General.

Speaking to Euronews, the former Green MEP suggested that the violent protests occurring across the country’s capital city will have a knock-on effect on the European elections, due to take place in May 2019, in favour of the far-right.

Mr Cohn-Bendit said: “History has shown us that such a crisis, a social crisis – it was the same in Germany in the 30s, that was a big crisis and there was big unemployment, and the communists thought it would go to the left, it would go towards socialism. It didn’t.”

“Never, ever, ever, such social crises go to the left. It always goes to the right.

“And look, what was the first political proposition from a lot of people who were speaking for the movement? They ask that General Pierre de Villiers becomes French President. They want a General at the top of the country. Is this a left [wing]proposition?”

Left-wing groups in the French parliament are also attempting to capitalise on the situation as they discuss launching a vote of no-confidence in the government.

Since the first ‘yellow vest’ demonstrations – held initially to contest plans for an increase in fuel tax, but moving on to more broadly oppose Macron’s government – four have died and dozens have been injured.

On Tuesday, Macron’s government surrendered to the protesters and announced a 6-month suspension of the fuel tax increase, but the measure is being seen as too little too late by many protesters, who continue to voice their discontent at Macron’s policies which are leaving many citizens struggling to make ends meet.

Nikos Kotzias, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, has just confirmed the existence of a massive child organ harvesting ring. Kotzias stated in a recent interview that Greek diplomats have been issuing visas to unaccompanied children, with the intent of facilitating the illegal removal of their organs.

This is not the first time Kotzias has disclosed the presence of such heinous criminal activity. In October 2018, the former official stated, “We sent 93 cases to the Prosecutor, highly evaluated ambassadors went to jail, but the press did not write about them. Because the person who gives a visa in Constantinople [Istanbul] to an unaccompanied child is not just a criminal, he is traitor. A visa for a 14-month-old unaccompanied baby and they tried to cover it up for him.”

The former official says he has filed 93 prosecution cases involving diplomats seeking to exploit children. Fortunately, these people are already in jail. “The fact that I saved a few souls will make me sleep quietly when my life is over,” Kotzias commented.

The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, or Europol, has estimated that over 10,000 of the 270,000 refugee children who entered Europe in 2015 are missing. Stay out of Paris this weekend, French broadcaster warns

According to France 24, if you have plans to visit Paris this weekend, perhaps you want to find alternate places to visit as the Yellow Vests could “wreak havoc on your plans”.

The city of love should still be safe, though, with the nationwide deployment of 89,000 security forces – 8,000 of which will be in Paris alone, along with a dozen armoured vehicles.

As this is now the fourth weekend (Act IV as it’s being hailed) of the ‘history in the making’ movement making its way across Europe, stores along The Champs-Elysées for example, have been advised to keep doors shut and protect windows.

Many will simply not be open, including the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre, the Petit Palais, the Grand Palais, the Pompidou Centre and the Catacombs. It is suggested that you check with your destination in advance prior to making your way there.

There is still Disneyland Paris and other shopping, all a short train ride away so still much to do if you are in or near Paris, despite the protests, which began on 17 November and have taken place every weekend since.

They began over the fuel tax price rise but quickly encompassed many more of Macron’s policies and globalist government.

As the protests spread throughout Europe that is the common theme, globalist elite versus the working-class with country specific issues.
