What's the usual velocity of EQ propagation? I know they say there are 2 modes of propagation for normal EQs, one a bit faster than the other depending on rock density. I would guess orders of magnitude faster than ~1785 m/s is typical?

Would be useful stat because then you could say, EQ waves propagate at x mph (m/s) but this other phenomenon propagated 100x or 1000x slower or whatever the actual number turns out to be.
