Here's the deal with this picture. When's the last time you shook hands with your father at a sporting event. If he is in a wheel chair you might stroll him in. But shake hands with him???
Lets think about the act of shaking another's hand. You do it when you greet them. So of a formal hello. You do it when your confirming an agreement or your grateful for something that person has done for you.
Annnd looking meaningfully into that other persons eyes. I mean that's an extra bonus of appreciation.
This is all wrong as far as a son greeting his dad. I'd expect a hug. Not a handshake here.
