I didn't see Macron losing any law enforcement today. They were there. One guy even got his hand blown off picking up a police grenade. The cops were using grenades.
I saw no footage of cops joining in with the yellow vests.
France is locked down. Macron controls both the Presidency and the lower house (deputies) of the legislature. The upper house (Senate) is controlled by a different deep state party.
Macron is happy to make an example of them. Why should he quit? Nobody can touch him for 4.5 years.
Maybe something is going on that will strip Macron of his police support. But it seems he's solidified it, rather than losing it.
