This is a major reason for Americans, who want to be part of the REBUILDING of the Republic, to learn Russian. The TASS reports only give tiny hints about what was discussed at the United Russia event. I am fluent in Russian and watched more of the speeches at 1tv.ru on the news program Vremya.

I have to say that these people are WAY, WAY ahead of Americans in the field of political organization. Russian patriots have a clear idea of the ethics of being a politician or political activist. They have a clear goal, the development of Russia, and a clear method to achieve this by talking directly to people, asking their thoughts and advice, and convincing them, one by one, that small local actions are important and will help in development and improvement of the country as a whole. None of these people will tolerate hangers-on looking for glory, or power, or a comfortable job as an elected official. These are people who are ready to WORK and work hard to make Russia great.

Remember, Russia and the USA are competitors, not enemies.

In any such situation, your competitor will be better than you at some things, and you need to study how they do those things so that you can raise your own game, in your own country. So, at least some of the patriots who are getting organized to keep making America great again, need to study the ideas and practices of the United Russia party. They are ahead of you.

Of course, in balance, there are also things that the USA does better. As I said, this is a competition, and part of the strategy of competing smart, is to identify your competitor's strengths and learn from them. Russians are learning English, and learning from the USA. Americans must also learn Russian, and learn from Russia.

And if you say, what about China, well it is a rather more complex and messy situation there. But if you happen to prefer learning Chinese, and working on China-related issues, well, we need those kind of people too.

Overall, it is time to give up the idea of the ideal American being a loud, uneducated bully because it doesn't work anymore. Value education. Value learning of all sorts. Encourage it in your family, in your community and in the schools near you. There is NOTHING stupid about being smart.
