Owls go way back. IMHO they carry negative connotations, i.e, moloch. I have noticed that an owl is in every childrens book somewhere, even w/o context, very few don't have an owl. Also, I see a trend of cartoon animals having large scalera as if to normalize it, hence normalizing psycopaths.
