Google Approves App For Muslims To Report People Who Commit Blasphemy
A new Android app has launched with the focus of allowing Muslims to report individuals who commit blasphemy, or insult Islam.
No, this is not a joke. The app, “Smart Pakem”, which launched in Indonesia last month at the request of the Indonesian government, will allow users and government officials to uphold Sharia law and target and report people who hold “misguided” beliefs in violation of Islamic law, which forbids insults of Islam, insults against the Prophet Mohammed, or the recognition of any other religion besides Islam.
Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world, with an estimated Muslim population of 207 million

Average US price of gas drops 22 cents per gallon to $2.51
CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — The average U.S. price of regular-grade gasoline has plummeted 22 cents a gallon (3.8 liters) over the past three weeks, to $2.51.
Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday that falling crude oil costs are the main reason for the decrease at the pump.
The average gas price has dropped 40 cents in the past three months.
The highest average price in the nation is $3.58 a gallon in the San Francisco Bay Area. The lowest average is $1.91 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The average price of diesel fell 9 cents over the past two weeks, to $3.18.

FBI agent hospitalized after shooting in Brooklyn
Dec. 9 (UPI) – An unidentified FBI agent was hospitalized after a shooting in Brooklyn, the bureau's office in New York said.
Details were not provided by the FBI in a post on Twitter on Saturday.
"Earlier today, one of our agents was wounded by gunfire in Brooklyn and transported to a local hospital," the FBI tweeted.
The Fire Department of New York received a call at 3:22 and responded to a report of "gunshot wounds" in Brooklyn, Michael Parrella, an FDNY spokesman said to CNN.
ABC reported FBI agents were conducting surveillance in a car in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn when people in another car drove by and shot at them. The agent, who was in plainclothes, was shot in the shoulder, accordign to ABC.
One suspect was apprehended while attempting to get his car repaired and another showed up at Kingsbrook Hospital, the New York Daily News reported.
