Revolutionary Europe? Swedish yellow vests unite in protest against UN Migration Pact and political elite

The protests in Sweden are quite different from the ones in France and Belgium. The Swedish ones aren’t violent, nothing is burned and there are no clashes with the police.

I am here for the poor elderly who paid tax their whole lives and now are forced to starve

Instead, speakers are cheered on by excited crowds. People are angry of course, but hopeful as well. The atmosphere can be described as a mix between a protest, political event and folk festival.

Around 1000 Swedes gathered outside Parliament in Stockholm to protest against the UN Migration Pact on Saturday.

Plenty of Swedish flags, placards and yellow vests were seen. children participated as well. “We are not extremists. We are ordinary Swedes”, shouted the protesters.

“It’s not about political colours, it’s about the people, one of the speakers”, journalist Katerina Janouch stated.

“I am here for the 9-year-old girl who was raped and beaten in a junk room. I am here for all the women who no longer dare go out.

“I am here for the poor elderly who paid tax their whole lives and now are forced to starve. I am here for the homeless. I am here for those who don’t get what the social contract promises.”

According to Janouch, all Swedes, regardless of political affiliation, should participate in the demonstrations and protest against the politics in Sweden.

“We don’t need more division in this country. It is the ones in power that want us to turn against each other.

“We need to unite. I want the Swedish people to stand together against the abuse of power that’s going on in Parliament.

“We will not give up”, she continued.

“I’m originally from Czechoslovakia and in 1989 the dictatorship fell. It is called social revolution. Do you know how it started?

“The pen, the written word. The first time there were 30 people, they were arrested. Next time 300, and then came 3000. Then the social revolution was a fact. And we can do the same thing”, she told the cheering crowd.

Biggest Belgian political party NVA has left the Belgian government over the Marrakesh migration pact!

All NVA ministers are now fired and replaced.

Government will continue as a minority government!!!

NVA (right wing) is against the Marrakesh migration pact (also called the European suicide pact) and has tried to convince the other members of the government to not sign it.

Majority of the government wants to sign it so NVA will step out of it tomorrow if the prime minister leaves the country for Marrakash.

(dutch)

What is the Marrakesh migration pact (also called the European suicide pact)?

The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM) is a “intergovernmentally negotiated agreement, prepared under the auspices of the United Nations, [that covers] all dimensions of international migration in a holistic and comprehensive manner”. The United Nations conference to adopt the compact will be held in Marrakesh, Morocco, on 10–11 December 2018.

– it does not distinguish between legal and illegal migrants, particularly when it comes to welfare.

-would reduce national sovereignty and mix up the difference between illegal and legal immigration as well as that between economic and humanitarian immigration.

-proposal to defund news outlets espousing anti-migration rhetoric and the pact could be used to criminalize political criticism.

-would give even migrants who are illegally many additional rights like housing, schooling,…

Austria, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Poland, USA, Slovakia and Switzerland have already stated they will not sign the agreement.

UN also calls this pact “replacement migration”

Its right before our eyes!!!

Replacement Migration:

Is It a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?

United Nations projections indicate that over the next 50 years, the populations of virtually all countries of Europe as well as Japan will face population decline and population ageing. The new challenges of declining and ageing populations will require comprehensive reassessments of many established policies and programmes, including those relating to international migration.

Focusing on these two striking and critical population trends, the report considers replacement migration for eight low-fertility countries (France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and United States) and two regions (Europe and the European Union). Replacement migration refers to the international migration that a country would need to offset population decline and population ageing resulting from low fertility and mortality rates.

Belgian government breaks as ‘treacherous’ Prime Minister announces to sign UN Migration Pact

After days of crisis over the UN Migration Pact, the Belgian government has broken up. Essence of the split is the Prime Minister’s trip to the UN Migration Conference in Morocco.

For several days, Belgium’s largest party, the New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) said it could not agree with Belgium signing the pact.

The N-VA opposes numerous proposals of the UN’s Migration Pact. Among other things, the pact does not make a distinction between legal and illegal migrant and sees migration purely as a positive phenomenon.

The party announced it would leave the coalition if the Prime Minister would go to Morocco to sign the pact.

Prime Minister Charles Michel did not change his plans and was forced to replace several N-VA minister in his government, which will now continue as a minority government.

On Facebook 1,200 people seem to agree with a comment that says the Prime Minister is a traitor [for signing the pact]. Other users are worried about the future of their children and say democracy is dead.

People also say they should start protesting and make the yellow vests movement in Belgium larger.

Update: Loretta Lynch to Appear Before House Committees in Closed-Door Interview Next Week

Obama’s corrupt former Attorney General Loretta Lynch will appear in a closed-door interview on Capitol Hill as part of joint investigation with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee into the handling of the Clinton email investigation.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Loretta Lynch on Thanksgiving along with fired FBI Director James Comey.

Comey gave a testimony to the Committees on Friday, however he was defiant in his interview with GOP lawmakers and said he “didn’t remember” 71 times, “didn’t know” 166 times and said “I don’t recall” 8 times.

Comey will return to Capitol Hill on December 17th for a second interview with GOP lawmakers.

Fox News was told that Loretta Lynch will also be on Capitol Hill the week of December 17th, however; the exact date has not been set. Lynch’s interview will be a closed Session like Comey, reported Fox News’ Chad Pergram.

On Friday, GOP lawmakers grilled James Comey about why he usurped then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and publicly exonerated Hillary Clinton during a July 5th presser.

Comey insisted he gave the presser because he didn’t want the appearance of bias given Loretta Lynch, just days prior had met with Bill Clinton on a Phoenix tarmac while his wife, who was running against Trump, was under investigation by the DOJ/FBI.

The entirety of the conversation between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton has not been disclosed, although the two maintain they only discussed ‘golf and grandkids.’

Loretta Lynch also came under fire when she admitted that she told Comey to called the Hillary email investigation a “matter,” – further confirming the investigation was rigged.

The Republicans ran the clock out and waited until the last minute to interview Comey and Lynch.

Lynch will do exactly what Comey did and refuse to answer questions next week and there will be no more time to bring her in for additional questioning because the Democrats take back control of the House on January 3rd.

Divided nations: UN migration pact sows discord as states turn away & face domestic tensions

An international agreement on how to deal with the global migration crisis is to be approved on Monday, but some are already calling it ‘dead’ as countries try to ditch the deal that prompted domestic political turmoil.

The United Nations Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, slated to be approved in Morocco, will be the first such UN agreement to be inter-governmentally negotiated to cover all areas of international migration.

The pact, drafted in response to the 2015 refugee crisis, aims to set out a “a common understanding, shared responsibilities and unity of purpose regarding migration,” laying out a vision in 23 objectives.

While it might seem that such a description would perhaps bring countries together, it appears to be doing just the opposite. Some nations have directly said they won't be part of it, while participating nations have seen protests from citizens.

The most recent pushback happened in Belgium on Sunday, when Prime Minister Charles Michel announced that his government was set to continue as a minority, after the center-right New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) quit his coalition because it disapproved of the accord.

US President Donald Trump's former adviser Steve Bannon even weighed in on the pact in Brussels, telling a gathering at the Flemish parliament that the pact was “dead even before it's been signed.” He spoke at the request of the Flemish nationalist party Vlaams Belang, which has been a vocal opponent of the UN text.

Washington has been against the pact since the beginning, with US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley stating in December 2017 that her country's immigration policies should be “always made by Americans and Americans alone.”

Israel and Australia weren't initially against the pact, which was negotiated and agreed by global diplomats in July 2018. However, they pulled out last month, citing sovereignty concerns as their reason for the turnaround.

“We have a duty to protect our borders against illegal infiltrators,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. “That's what we've done, and that's what we will continue to do.”

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison expressed a similar sentiment, stating that the pact could “undermine Australia's strong border protection laws and practices.”

Marlboro Makes $1.8 Billion Investment Into Cannabis Industry

It's technically a move that would seem to make a lot of sense, Marlboro's parent company Altria is making a nearly $2 billion investment into marijuana. I'm not sure when the urban legends about Marlboro's potential interest in a legal marijuana industry began, but I recall hearing rumors as far back as the mid '90s.

Altria Group Inc's 45% stake in Cronos Group, a Canadian medical and recreational provider, could become a controlling ownership over the next 4 years leading to a 55 percent ownership by the Richmond, Virginia based tobacco giant.

Constellation Brands, the makers of Corona, is also entering the industry via $4 billion worth of shares of Canopy Growth Corp., another Canadian marijuana company. So far, that makes the makers of Corona and Marlboro the largest American investors in the burgeoning cannabis market.

Canada's recent legalization of marijuana has provided a safe testing ground for US investors. With Cronos Group stocks jumping 22% on Friday, more US investors may consider adding some green herb companies alongside their blue-chip stocks in their portfolio.

With more states decriminalizing or even opening up cannabis markets for medicinal and/or recreational use and changing perspectives related to marijuana use, the industry will continue to appear more appealing prospects for investment and acquisition.

By 2027, legal cannabis is projected to net $57 billion per year worldwide, according to Arcview Market Research. 2017 spending on legal cannabis in North America hit $9.2 billion but is expected to reach $47.3 billion in 2027.
