I wonder how spot on… I used to get absinthe in the 80's. It would burn, we lit it on fire and the glass would suck up to your hand. Then you sucked it in as you took the shot. It was supposed to have opium in it, don't know for sure but it was good, tasted like licorice. We called it DeAbsinthe, don't know why…
