I lived through the Falklands War and as far as Brits were concerned, Maggie Thatcher was honoring the wishes of the Falkland Islanders who wanted to remain a British Dependant Territory and didn't want to be ruled by Argentina. Maggie was defending the Falklanders democratic right to choose their governors.
