Former FBI Director James Comey asked American voters Sunday night to end Donald Trump’s presidency with a “landslide” victory for his opponent in 2020.

“All of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021,” Comey told an audience at the 92nd Street Y on New York City’s Upper East Side. He all but begged Democrats to set aside their ideological differences and nominate the person best suited to defeating Trump in an election.

“I understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be,” Comey told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, “but they have to win. They have to win.”

Over the course of more than an hour, Comey repeatedly derided Trump’s character, again likening the atmosphere around the President to what he saw in prosecuting mafia figures and suggested that Trump’s tweets could eventually amount to witness tampering. Asked if Trump might be an unindicted co-conspirator in some of the crimes recently described by special counsel Robert Mueller, Comey said he didn’t know, “but if he’s not there, he’s certainly close.”

May laughed at after she confirms last-minute delay of historic Brexit vote

UK Prime Minister Theresa May addresses the House of Commons after the canceling the parliamentary vote on her Brexit deal, a day before it was scheduled to take place.

May confirmed that the vote was cancelled, as she feared she would lose it “by a significant margin.”

The PM faced laughter from Labour benches when she said that, over three days of debate, she had "listened very carefully to what has been said in this Chamber and out of it by members from all sides."

In response, Labour leader attacked the PM for the delay, outlining that the deal was bad for the country before asking what was the point of May bringing back the “same deal” to MPs at a later date.

Following Corbyn’s statement, MPs from both the SNP and the Lib Dems urged him to bring forward a vote of no-confidence in the Prime Minister, something which he has repeatedly threatened to do.

A somber Nigel Dodds, the DUP leader at Westminster, told the PM the Northern Irish backstop - contained within her deal - was “unacceptable to this House,” before urging May to renegotiate the deal.

European Court of Justice rules Britain free to revoke Brexit unilaterally

The UK is free to unilaterally revoke a notification to depart from the EU, the European Court has ruled. The judicial body said this could be done without changing the terms of London’s membership in the bloc.

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) opined in a document issued on Monday that Britain can reverse Article 50, which stipulates the way a member state leaves the bloc. The potentially important ruling comes only one day before the House of Commons votes on Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal with the EU.

“When a Member State has notified the European Council of its intention to withdraw from the European Union, as the UK has done, that Member State is free to revoke unilaterally that notification,” the court’s decision reads.

By doing so, the respective state “reflects a sovereign decision to retain its status as a Member State of the European Union.”

That said, this possibility remains in place “as long as a withdrawal agreement concluded between the EU and that Member State has not entered into force.” Another condition is: “If no such agreement has been concluded, for as long as the two-year period from the date of the notification of the intention to withdraw from the EU.”

The case was opened when a cross-party group of British politicians asked the court whether an EU member such as the UK can decide on its own to revoke the withdrawal process. It included Labour MEPs Catherine Stihler and David Martin, Scottish MPs Joanna Cherry Alyn Smith, along with Green MSPs Andy Wightman and Ross Greer.

They argued that unilateral revocation is possible and believe it could provide an opening to an alternative to Brexit, namely holding another popular vote to allow the UK to remain in the EU.

“If the UK chooses to change their minds on Brexit, then revoking Article 50 is an option and the European side should make every effort to welcome the UK back with open arms,” Smith, the SNP member, was quoted by Reuters.

However, May’s environment minister, Michael Gove, a staunch Brexit supporter, denounced the ECJ ruling, insisting the cabinet will not reverse its decision to leave. “We will leave on March 29, [2019]” he said, referring to the date set out in the UK-EU Brexit deal.

In the wake of the landmark vote on the Brexit deal, a group of senior ministers threatened to step down en masse if May does not try to negotiate a better deal in Brussels, according to the Telegraph. The ministers demanded that an alternative deal does not leave the UK trapped within the EU customs union indefinitely.

On Sunday, Will Quince resigned as parliamentary private secretary in the Ministry of Defense, saying in a Telegraph editorial that “I do not want to be explaining to my constituents why Brexit is still not over and we are still obeying EU rules in the early 2020s or beyond.”

Money for bombs but not for aid? Millions of Iraqis destitute 1yr after victory over ISIS

Millions of Iraqis are still struggling to rebuild their lives one year after Baghdad declared victory against Islamic State, a Norwegian NGO has warned, stressing that many Iraqis feel “abandoned” by the international community.

More than 1.8 million Iraqis are currently displaced and an astonishing 8 million require some form of humanitarian aid, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) said in a statement. It followed the first anniversary of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s announcement that Iraq had achieved final victory over Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS).

Regrettably, the international community seems less interested in the fate of Iraq now that IS has been pushed out of the country, Tom Peyre-Costa, NRC’s Iraq Media coordinator, told RT.

“It is essential that the international community invests as much in the reconstruction and stabilization of the country as they did in the fight against Islamic State,” Peyre-Costa said.

It’s unacceptable to think that millions can be spent on bombs but not on humanitarian aid and reconstruction.

He added that many of the displaced Iraqis that he’s spoken with say they feel “abandoned” by the world. While IS may have lost its foothold in Iraq, the work to restore the war-torn lives of millions of Iraqis is “far from being done,” Peyre-Costa noted.

Broward County school district issues controversial worksheet assignment asking if Parkland shooter deserves to die

A Broward County, Florida, school is under fire after assigning a worksheet prompting freshman high school students to discuss whether they thought confessed Parkland mass murderer Nikolas Cruz deserved to die.

Cruz admitted to gunning down at least 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February, and injuring even more.

In March, Cruz was charged with 17 counts of murder in connection with the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, as well as 17 counts of attempted murder.

He will face the death penalty if convicted on the murder charges.

What are the details of the assignment?

The assignment, which came out of the Coral Glade High School in Coral Springs, Florida, on Friday was provided by the Scholastic Corporation, according to WPLG-TV.

The worksheet itself was titled "Does Nikolas Cruz deserve to die" and was handed out to ninth-grade students at the school. The worksheet also featured questions about capital punishment and the Eighth Amendment.

Cameron Kasky, one of the massacre survivors, was even featured in the worksheet. Kasky was quoted in another article, which was featured in the assignment.

The question featuring Kasky's remarks read, "In the article, Cameron Kasky says, 'Let him rot forever.' His tone can best be described as ___."

Multiple choice answers included "truthful," "angry," "gloomy," and "fearful."

Kasky responded to the news in a Friday tweet, in which he called the worksheet "pathetic."

"This worksheet was given to students in @BrowardSchools," Kasky wrote. "I cannot begin to express how pathetic I find this."

He added, "Our school board should add this to the list of 1000+ reasons to be ashamed."

The school issued a statement about the worksheet.

Broward County Public Schools is working with the publisher to make them aware of our concerns.

In their own statement, the Scholastic Corporation somewhat apologized for the worksheet.

The article and the quiz were intended only to provide a platform for meaningful conversations around the history, civics and social impact of the death penalty. Conspiracy theory buff Jerome Corsi has sued Robert Mueller and a handful of federal agencies for allegedly attempting to blackmail him into lying about being a middle man between Wikileaks and the Trump campaign.

Corsi, the former Washington bureau chief of Alex Jones’ controversial site, InfoWars, filed a lawsuit on Sunday which claims that special counsel Robert Mueller threatened him with prison unless he agreed to falsely confess to being a liaison between WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and Republican political strategist Roger Stone, who was an adviser to Trump's presidential campaign.

The suit, which seeks $100 million in actual damages and $250 million in punitive damages, also accuses the FBI, CIA and NSA of having placed Corsi under illegal surveillance “at the direction of Mueller.”

The illegal surveillance and blackmail operation, the suit alleges, aimed to bring about a “legal coup d'etat” which would challenge Trump’s legitimate electoral victory.

Corsi became a person of interest in Mueller’s probe into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin after it emerged that he sent an email alerting Stone that Wikileaks planned to release emails stolen from John Podesta – two months before the secrets-leaking site did so.

In November reports emerged that Corsi was negotiating a plea deal with Mueller, but a deal appears to have never been reached. Last week, Corsi filed a formal complaint with the Justice Department alleging prosecutorial misconduct by Mueller and his team.

President Trump has repeatedly called the Mueller probe a “witch hunt” instigated by Democrats.

Kavanaugh Joins Liberals To Protect Pro-Planned Parenthood Ruling

The Supreme Court declined to review three cases relating to Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the state level Monday, over a vigorous dissent from Justice Clarence Thomas.

The dissent was significant because it indicates that Justice Brett Kavanaugh sided with the high court’s liberal wing to deny review of a lower court decision that favored the nation’s largest abortion provider.

“So what explains the Court’s refusal to do its job here?,” Thomas wrote. “I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some respondents in these cases are named ‘Planned Parenthood.'”

“Some tenuous connection to a politically fraught issue does not justify abdicating our judicial duty,” Thomas added. “If anything, neutrally applying the law is all the more important when political issues are in the background.”

Justices Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch joined the Thomas dissent, meaning there were three votes in favor of taking the case. Since four votes are needed for the Supreme Court to take up a case, the opinion indicates that Chief Justice John Roberts and Kavanaugh joined with the four liberals to deny review.

This move could indicate that Roberts and Kavanaugh are loath to take take up an abortion-related question in the aftermath of Kavanaugh’s contentious confirmation. The Court’s new junior justice has generally kept a low profile since taking the bench in October.

Monday’s cases arose when Republican state leaders in Louisiana and Kansas stripped Planned Parenthood of state Medicaid funds after a pro-life advocacy group presented evidence that the abortion-provider was harvesting and selling fetal materials. Planned Parenthood contests the accuracy of these claims.

Planned Parenthood and several unnamed female patients challenged the states’ move in federal court. The legal question in Monday’s cases was whether Medicaid recipients can challenge the disqualification of a provider under the Medicaid law.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with Planned Parenthood on that question in June 2017, prompting an appeal to the Supreme Court. That ruling is left in place now that the justices have refused to take the case.

Belgian Government Collapses Over UN Migration Pact

The Belgian government has split apart after Prime Minister Charles Michel ignored the objections of his ruling coalition’s biggest party and insisted he would sign the UN migration pact.

The Flemish nationalist New Flemish Alliance (N-VA) party quit the government following crisis talks over the weekend, prompting Michel to announce he would travel to Marrakesh to sign the controversial compact representing a minority government.

Stepping down as interior minister on Sunday, the N-VA’s Jan Jambon told local media “I think that, formally speaking, we are stepping down. We said that if the coalition goes to Marrakesh, it will be without us.”

The patriotic party had previously produced a list of 30 objections to signing the so-called Global Compact on Safe and Orderly Migration including a lack of differentiation between illegal and legal flows, and questions over whether the agreement, which declares mass immigration to be “inevitable, desirable and necessary”, could have a chilling effect on objective journalism.

Vice Prime Minister Alexander De Croo rebuffed the N-VA for branding the parties set to sign Belgium up to the UN document as a ‘Marrakesh coalition’, asserting that ministers will continue to have “firm but humane” migration policies because “no one in this government wants to pursue open [borders]”.

Pro-mass migration NGOs and left-wing politicians rejoiced on Sunday, however, after it was announced N-VA immigration minister, Theo Franken, would be replaced by the liberal health minister, Maggie De Block, as she immediately announced she would seek to abolish quotas limiting the number of asylum applications to 50 per day.

Green party chairman and UN compact advocate Meyrem Almaci, who has been fiercely critical of N-VA’s previous influence on Belgian immigration policy, celebrated the reshuffle on social media, tweeting that De Block’s appointment was a victory for “humanity”.

Ukrainian Air Force Deployed Combat Drones To Carry Out Chemical Provocation In Donbass: DPR Military

The Kiev government delivered a large shipment of unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) to the frontline near the town of Gorlovka, the head of the press service of the Office of the People’s Militia of the Donetks People’s Republic (DPR), Daniel Bezsonov said on November 9th.

According to Bezsonov, using these UAVs, the Ukrainian Air Force is going to stage a chemical provocation in the Donbass and deliver attacks on critical facilities of the DPR.

“Our intelligence obtained reliable data on the arrival at the Gorlovka direction by the train of a large number of drone UAVs like the Warmate-1 and Bayraktar TB2. The latter is a joint production of Ukraine and Turkey, which can carry up to 70 kilograms of payload. The Ukrainian authorities recently boasted about the purchase of this UAV,” Bezsonov said.

He also added that, according to anonymous sources at the operation headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Joint Forces Operation, the new attack drones will be used to conduct a chemical provocation in the Donbass, in addition to precision strikes on critical objects of the DPR during a massive rocket-air strike of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Also, Ukrainian and British military experts have prepared several production videos using computer graphics intended to “doctor” information resources, after conducting a chemical provocation. The fakes would be used as evidence of the alleged involvement of servicemen of the People’s Militia in the use of chemical weapons by the UAVs,” the head of the press service said.

In this regard, Bezsonov appealed to the world community with a warning that “such video materials are a blatant fake, aimed at discrediting the leadership of the Republic.”

Earlier it was reported that military experts from the UK arrived in the Donbass to conduct chemical weapon attacks, and also that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing a sabotage at the Stirol chemical plant in Gorlovka, the goal of which is to create a diversion and strike at another point in the DPR.

On December 1st, EurAsia Daily cited the deputy chief of the People’s Militia of the DPR Eduard Basurin who said that Kiev is preparing for a large-scale invasion against Donetsk.

“Training of the shock group is underway. This is evidenced by the concentration on the Mariupol tactical direction of three brigades – 79 separate assault and assault brigades, 36 separate brigades of marines and 128 separate mountain assault brigades, who received the task of conducting offensive operations in the Novoazovsk region in early December with access to the border with Russia,” he said.

According to him, breaking through the first line of defense was entrusted to elite formations of paratroopers and marines. Basurin considers this a tactical mistake of Kiev and the “incompetence of the Commander of the Combined Forces Sergey Naev, who for the sake of devotion to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is ready to sacrifice personnel for the sake of achieving dubious goals.”

The Kremlin warned that the imposition of martial law in the regions bordering Russia and the DPR may lead to an escalation in the Donbass. It appears that if the claims by the DPR command are legitimate, that may as well be Kiev’s plan.

DEA agent charged with facilitating drug shipments

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A criminal complaint says a DEA agent traded inside information for bribes which helped facilitate drug shipments to north Florida and Arkansas.

The complaint obtained this week by First Coast News in Jacksonville says Special Agent Nathan Koen warned dealers of pending investigations in exchange for money and enabled shipments of drugs worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The complaint says Koen accepted $62,000 from one particular drug dealer, and sought an additional $17,000, though it’s not clear if that payment was made.

Koen worked in Jacksonville for 12 years before being promoted to a position in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2016.

Koen has yet to enter a plea on charges of bribery and drug distribution conspiracy. He is being held in federal custody after his arrest in Arkansas.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce released a statement last week on the Trump-Xi dinner business meeting in Buenos Aires.

The Chinese Government released a very positive statement on progress made during the meeting.

But then news broke on Wednesday that Canadian authorities arrested the chief financial officer of Huawei at the request of the United States. Meng Wanzhou is the CfO of Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei, the largest communications company in the world.

The US Department of Justice had Wangzhou arrested while President Trump and his top administration officials were meeting with Chinese officials after the G-20 meetings in Buenos Aires.

Last Thursday Peter Navarro, assistant to the president on trade policy, spoke with Trish Regan on her new show Primetime.

Navarro told Trish Regan that President Trump and his administration WERE NOT NOTIFIED that the DOJ was arresting Chinese business leader

The DOJ arrested the Chinese business leader knowing it could disrupt President Trump’s trade talks.

On Friday morning, Larry Kudlow, the White House Director of the National Economic Council under President Donald Trump, joined Stuart Varney to discuss the latest unemployment rate and the ongoing Chinese trade talks.

Kudlow echoed Peter Navarro and said Trump White House officials were not notified of the arrest of Meng Wanzhou while they were meeting with China for the critical trade talks.

The DOJ went rogue in what appears to be an attempt to derail the trade talks with China(?)

This would cause chaos in the markets and possibly an international political crisis.

The Deep State DOJ is playing with fire in their attempt to destroy President Trump.

On Monday the Chinese government summoned US Ambassador Terry Branstad over the arrest of Meng Wangzhou.

The Department of Justice could have waited to arrest Wangzhou Weng until after the trade talks were completed. Instead they chose to arrest the prominent business leader during the Trump-Xi talks.

The Deep State knew this would cause the maximum damage.

The Deep State does not care that Americans will be hurt as they continue their open coup against the American president.

Alleged Russian Honeypot Spy Changes Plea To Guilty

Accused Russian spy Maria Butina wants to change her plea to guilty according to a Monday filing with a DC Court.

Butina, who was arrested in July and remains in custody, is accused of failing to register as a foreign lobbyist undre the Foreign Agents Registration Act, and working with South Dakota Republican Paul Erickson as a Kremlin spy.

Erickson, who has strong ties to both the National Rifle Association and the Russian gun rights community, allegedly attempted to develop a back-channel between the NRA and the Russian government. In May, 2016, Erickson sent an email to Trump campaign adviser Rick Dearborn and Jeff Sessions with the title "Kremlin connection," seeking a meeting between then-candidate Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin at an annual NRA convention.

Butina, meanwhile, allegedly tried to use Erickson to introduce her to influential political figures in order to arrange a meeting between Trump and her boss, Russian central banker Alexander Torshin.

The Trump campaign declined the invitation, however Torshin and Butina did have a brief interaction with Donald Trump Jr. at a dinner.

Butina is accused of trying to cultivate “back-channel” relationships with the Republican Party’s leading presidential candidates and develop close ties to the NRA to provide Russian officials “with the best access to and influence over” the party.

Butina allegedly was assisted by Erickson, who helped introduce her to influential political figures and who sought to organize a meeting between then-candidate Donald Trump and Alexander Torshin, Butina’s colleague and a Russian central banker, at a May 2016 NRA convention. -Washington Post

France 'Investigating' If The Russkies Are Secretly Behind Yellow Vest Protests

If the last two years have taught us anything, it's that Western governments can dodge all responsibility for their failed leadership by blaming all domestic strife on the Russkies.

From Bloomberg, "France to Probe Possible Russian Influence on Yellow Vest Riots":

France opened a probe into possible Russian interference behind the country’s Yellow Vest protests, after reports that social-media accounts linked to Moscow have increasingly targeted the movement.

According to the Alliance for Securing Democracy, about 600 Twitter accounts known to promote Kremlin views have begun focusing on France, boosting their use of the hashtag #giletsjaunes, the French name for the Yellow Vest movement. French security services are looking at the situation, Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Sunday in a radio interview with RTL.

Russia has been criticized for using social media to influence elections in the U.S. and elsewhere. Attempts to use fake news reports and cyberattacks to undercut the 2017 campaign of French President Emmanuel Macron failed, but Russian-linked sites have pushed questionable reports of a mutiny among police, and of officers’ support for the protests.

RAND PAUL: I guess I don't quite understand it because I don't know what's illegal about trying to build a hotel in Russia. So this is pretty common, and I see no problem with someone running for president trying to build a hotel somewhere. Now, if you are asking and saying I will give you something in exchange for letting us build a hotel, that would be wrong. But I haven't heard any evidence of that. Just trying to build a hotel somewhere, I can't imagine how that would be criminal.
