Like everything else. This is most likely an attempt at cleaning up their own comms. Moves like this as we've seen before with purges is due to THEM having used the platform and now they need to legitimize the reason for the cleanup.
They can't just target their own accounts and comms. They have to target normal users as well, so that it doesn't look as odd of a move. After all it was stated in the change of policy. So is not a cleanup, but simply following protocol, right?
