Well, that is one way of looking at it.

On the other hand, the goal of the Fed, right now, is to try and trigger a market collapse by increasing interest rates and drying up the source of cheap loans to the military industrial complex.

Someone is going to get hurt by a restructure. The question is how do we make this the guilty parties rather than the hostage parties?

Should push come to shove, the criminals are looking to kill the hostages at the end of this, anyway. So there's really no option but to push forward with a restructure regardless of the outcome. Time to think of the children, rather than the people with one foot in the grave. Sucks if things don't go ideally, but I would rather be guilty of the crime of abandoning the old than the crime of enslaving the young.

Though that is why I am deferring to Q. I don't have the resources to suggest a collapse-less restructure, nor do I have the position to implement one even if I did somehow have the perfect idea.

What I will say, however, is that the return of our manufacturing base is key. Society can weather just about anything so long as they can farm their own food and make their own tools. A lot of effort was put into stripping that away from American society and making us reliant on foreign sources. Farming, for example, is an absolute twilight zone where we feed Africa at a taxpayer cost and buy from Mexico and South America, where their people are starving (because it is more profitable to sell to Americans than it is to sell to their own people).

Same thing with Chinese manufacturing. Poor bastards in China can't afford consumer goods or get a decent rate of pay because it's being offloaded over here at fifteen times what they can sell it for, there. Then the government skims the revenue of those companies to fix coal prices and make it look like Aluminum and Steel are cheaper to smelt over there before shipping back over here.

It's all been gimmicked and rigged to put spreadsheet warriors in charge of our economy. Consider that the same people responsible for putting together Fallout 76 are the same people who own major corporate factories, farms, etc. Same mentality governs them.
