Question about Mueller

I don't watch TV

Does this guy ever do interviews? I don't think I've ever heard him talk. I only see still photos of him or third party reports. He's like a ghost.

Is he still a free man?

I read something about him not agreeing with the Bush Family crimes and stepped down/wanted to step down from his time at the FBI(I think?) Is that true?
