Yeah, that's why I'm of the opinion that Cain was… essentially "raptured" out of the situation, for lack of a better way of putting it. (look up the etymology on this if you need to)
There really wasn't any time to set up optics by the sound of it, it just had to be done, or Cain was a dead man.
It's less a thing of running out of ideas and more a thing of purposely defacing their tools.
So I'm left with using their material as the base.
I'm in the "The sun and jupiter are binary twins" camp.
Jupiter killed planet 5, turned planet 4 into a wasteland, and turned planet 3 into a different planet with a moon 4 billion years older than it.
