re Supreme Court decision to deny cert to an abortion-related case

From National Review:

"The CNN article claimed that “the case concerned whether [states] can block Medicaid funds from offices that provide such women with annual health screens, contraceptive coverage and cancer screening.” It didn’t. It concerned whether individuals have the standing to bring their own suit against a state’s determination of which providers qualify under Medicaid."

This is what is meant by a jurisdictional concern. It's about who has the right to bring suit. Not pro- or anti-abortion, it's a matter of procedure, which can be interpreted in different ways. Doesn't mean Kavanaugh won't rule against abortion in a different context.

So I understand your concerns. But this question will not be resolved overnight; will require the right case. Blessings.

My heart goes out to all patriots who makes great sacrifices–DJT, Genl' Flynn, many others. But we should not assume we know somebody else's situation. Or that it is our role to "save" someone, whether financially or in other ways. Our role is to meme, pray, dig. Anything else is up to each individual. "We" should not re-dress.

Good to talk with you, Belgian anon. Maybe the evil migration pact will turn out to be a blessing in disguise, because it's so REALLY bad that it seems to be waking people up. When there are enough of you, you can tell both the EU and the UN to go to GTFO!!!

It would be an honor to get the Dutch articles. We look forward to your translations.

I was thinking about this earlier. Antarctica discussion wouldn't be an intentional slide; it's just that the topic is both vast and fascinating. And there's very little hard information, just stories and rumors.

So while the topic interests me, I would pursue it here only if it is relevant to Q-team goals (not just satisfying my curiosity).

Yes, this is mine. But I did raise the question about whether to pursue this topic. Someone had thrown out the idea that there was nothing in Antarctica under the ice. That may be true, but it was not sauced. I gave links to check out so anons could decide what they thought, some of it scientific and other material speculative and more controversial. When the baker didn't go for it, I was okay with that. Don't need to push the river. And I questioned whether–with the focus on FISA, CF, etc–going off on Antarctica might be taking us too far afield.

It's also somewhat about us–people who believe in crazy conspiracies like Pizzagate right? But just show people Skippy's art collection to win them over. Easy argument.

A fair number of anons are mavericks when it comes to social norms and will never understand why many people adhere to religious doctrines. But there are others who seek a belief system that really "grounds" them in a world gone crazy. I tend to be a maverick but accept the value of religion and especially Christianity at a time when Western civilization is under attack from multiple fronts. What unites us, I think, is a love of liberty, the willingness to defend it, and a sense that there are higher principles of life that transcend our personal preferences.
