Their motives are clear.
Now combine my situation with illegally stealing my life's work (12 years of research, business records including accounts receivable, my entire library of unpublished children's books, my life savings in cash) and now they have a convenient method to make sure they have a permanent semi-slave underclass that is forcefully disarmed and can't vote - yet pose zero danger to "society".

The government requires our consent, as our national character chafes at the idea that ANYONE considers themselves our "ruler by threat of force".
Our Constitutional rights are written in plain language so that we can give, or refuse to give, that consent.
Shit like Asset Forfeiture is absolutely repugnant to the Constution, but lawmakers and cops tried to sleaze their way around it by cloaking it in bullshit legaleze.
