I used to have the same doubts and questions. You are right to question, but don't stop, because with true seeking, you will find the truth like I did. The Bible is, beyond any doubt, the inspired word of God. But it isn't so easy to understand, and required genuine seeking and a desire to know God to understand. However, you're gonna have to get over the Merry Christmas thing. If you think someone making a positive comment toward you based on their belief system is offensive, you are no better than the left wing nuts with their "safe spaces". There's nothing more pathetic than someone finding ways to be offended by something that in no way negatively affects them.
