CPL can definitely face sanctions and be ordered to pay these fees (and other ethical violations consequences) if he pursued the case against clients request. I suspect she'd have to produce some proof though ( ie here's the email where i told him to nonsuit/not file) in a subsequent proceeding against CPL.
