December 21 Represents Death (and rebirth) to the Occultists
Ties to Masonic Cult symbolism. December 21 (Winter Solstice in Earth's Northern Hemisphere and Summer in the Southern Hemisphere) is significant. It related to the path of Apollo (Sun / Light bearer)
Excerp from "The Royal Arch of Enoch" by Sullivan IV, Robert W:
“From the northern hemisphere Apollo is at his weakest at the Winter Solstice (December 21-22) as it is the shortest day of the year in the sign of Capricorn. Capricorn is ruled by the planet Saturn whose concomitant is the god Kronos. Both Saturn and Kronos are associated with death as the sun is at its weakest - from the northern hemisphere perspective - under Capricorn. Apollo the sun is at his most powerful on the Summer Solstice (June 20-22) the longest day of the year. At both the vernal and autumnal Equinoxes, March and September 20-22 30 , Apollo rules the day equally with the night. The word Equinox means “equal night” coming from the Latin aequus (equal) and nox (night). Apollo driving his solar chariot across the sky can be seen on the frontispiece of Dr. James Anderson’s The Constitutions of Free-Masons published in London in 1723.”

“Jachin and Boaz, the two brass pillars that stood at the porch of Solomon’s Temple…represent the active and passive nature of divine energy - the sun and the moon - as the Hebrew year was lunar: the moon established years, months, and weeks; while the sun in whose strength ruled and divided the seasons. 64 They also represent the signs of Cancer in which the summer solstice occurs and Capricorn the house of the winter solstice; Cancer representing the sun at its strength and hence life; Capricorn the sun at its weakest hence death”

“Osiris should be thought of as the material - not spiritual - aspects of the sun which is the beneficent influencer of life and nature on earth. Osiris’ mother was Neith: the Great Mother yet Immaculate Holy Virgin; the mysteries of Osiris incorporate solar symbolism. As part of his journey Osiris traverses the twelve sections of the Duat or the night sky. Being a sun-god had twelve helpers or companions which are of course the twelve houses of the Zodiac . 116 Osiris died - he was ripped into fourteen parts - and was resurrected; just as the sun dies every winter solstice (shortest day of the year) and is resurrected at the vernal equinox - first day of spring/end of winter, death - as such Osiris “died and was resurrected”. Osiris produced a solar heir - Horus - who was born of Osiris’ virgin wife/sister Isis. Horus was depicted as a winged solar orb whose concomitant was the Greco-Roman sun god Apollo."
The significance of December 21 is described in great detail in the above quoted work. It is a very important date for Kabbalists (Cabal). Think SACRIFICE (to the Sun God).
