Modulated color force would put each of the 3 colors in adjacent protons and thus the strong force would have attraction to pull them into a new in-between proton and create a force vector.
I really wonder if this quark color modulation to make a force will work?
I just hope it wouldn't be uncontrolled fusion.
The up down of the quarks has a strong theoretical basis to modulate them as they have a charge and can be manipulated by an EM field. But how to modulate the color aspect of the quarks - or it might happen spontaneously if they are close enough in the proper EM field.
