Bongino says some good things, but leaves out the punchlines, maybe casts doubt that is helpful to the Dems or keeps focus on areas that are less tender for Dems. Not sure about that, but his sword seems a little blunt at surprising moments.
Ross Perot didn't try to win. Once he built up momentum, he dropped out. He was running to split the Republican vote so that Bill Clinton would beat GHWB.
3rd party never wins and this was known then too. It's why Trump had to take over a party to be elected President.
Sundar Pichai avoided saying much of anything definite, knowing that in a few weeks he won't have to worry about followups or contempt, if he can just put the House Republicans off a while.

I'd call that a stretch. GHWB was competitive, sure he wanted 2 terms. And 1st term Clinton was actually OK, we were about to run surpluses and reduce the debt. Then Clinton gave the weirdest speech I've ever heard (I am sure I am not imagining this, I heard it on TV, but now it's vanished) and said we had to save the 30 year government bond market, so we had to run deficits to be able to issue more of those bonds.
