I'm sure its more than that.

 

Figure that searches work because the webcrawlers build massive indexes of the entire web.

If you don't want to make something searchable (or not), or want to feed false information, you can tweak the underlying index much more efficiently than trying to police everything.

 

I'm guessing its a completely different and separate search database too.
