Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker Delivers Remarks on the Importance of a Lawful Immigration System:

On behalf of President Donald Trump, I want to thank all of the law enforcement officers who are here today.

As he showed clearly on Friday at our Project Safe Neighborhoods Conference, the President supports law enforcement 100 percent.

Under his strong leadership, we are restoring the rule of law in this country. And let me make one thing explicitly clear: that means that we are restoring the rule of law to our borders and to our immigration system.

Texans know as well as anyone that our Southern border is in a crisis—and that crisis has been building for some time. It’s abundantly clear to anyone who works in the immigration space that the crisis was exacerbated by decisions made during the last administration.

NOT ONLY DOES HE SPEAK FIRMLY REGARDING BORDER SECURITY WHILE CRITICIZING PREVIOUS ADMIN, HE ALSO STATED THIS ON SIDE NOTE AFTER BEING INTRODUCED:

I also want to thank the Solicitor General of the United States, Noel Francisco, for joining us today. Noel is doing incredible work. Most notably, on cases where this administration has changed positions from the previous administration, we’re undefeated. Noel, keep winning those cases.

Let’s wish him the best with this one:

The Trump administration is seeking help from the Supreme Court as it tries to prevent illegal immigrants from being granted asylum.

According to The Hill, Solicitor General Noel Francisco formally requested Tuesday the nation's high court look at the situation after a district court judge blocked a directive that would stop people who illegally came to the U.S. from requesting asylum status.
