Kek. I was worried about this batch of Mead, dubbed 'Valley of Death' edition (inspired by Death Valley NP in the Spring), I've left aging on lees for too many months now, but, I just tasted it… potential to be glorious (better than if I had racked it on 11/11). Next actual "Boom" I'll rack it onto some charred mesquite for a couple months, then bottle it. Fingers crossed Meadery 17 aka M17 (called it that for years now) 2018 vintage will be Glorious!!!
