AccountingFag here… I've had first hand experience in the corruption with the "Big 4" accounting firms. They use the corruption in foreign countries to report false foreign taxes paid which is a direct U S tax credit. It is nearly impossible to follow U S law (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act) when doing business in Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, South/Central America, China and former soviet states.
