2 Government subcontractors killed at Antarctica science station….

Two US government subcontractor employees at Antarctica’s McMurdo Station died Wednesday while performing maintenance at a generator building, the National Science Foundation said.

A helicopter pilot landed near the building, which powers a radio transmitter near the station, after seeing smoke coming from the structure, the foundation said.

Inside the building, the pilot found the two workers unconscious. Medical personnel from the clinic at McMurdo pronounced one of the workers dead at the scene, while another was pronounced dead after being flown to the clinic, the statement said.

The employees were fire technicians who were performing preventive maintenance on the building’s fire suppression system, the foundation said.

The technicians’ relatives have been notified. The foundation is not releasing personal information at this time, it said.

Arlington, Virginia-based PAE employed the technicians. PAE is a subcontractor to Leidos, which bills itself as the prime contractor for the National Science Foundation’s US Antarctic Program.

Instead of purchasing the land in Harvard Management Company, Inc.'s own name, asset managers secretly formed a wholly owned subsidiary - called Brodiaea, which was the vehicle to purchase more than a dozen investments in California vineyards over the last six years.

Harvard formed Brodiaea in 2012, and by 2015 the company had already acquired 10,000 acres in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties for roughly $60 million, according to Reuters.

Crackpot Democrat Ted Lieu (D-CA) admitted on CNN on Wednesday that he would “love to regulate the content of speech.”

He said this regarding accusations and credible evidence that the tech giants are eliminating conservative speech in America.

Facebook alone eliminated over one billion conservative page views from their platform in the last year.

Lieu was speaking to CNN host Brianna Keilar when he made the honest comments about about freedom in America.

After CNN host Brianna Keilar praised Lieu for the “clever” stunt, she wondered if Democrats should have used more of their time to question the Google leader about how it and other tech companies can work to prevent the spread of conspiracy theories and other online trolling.

“It’s a very good point you make,” Lieu said. “I would love if I could have more than five minutes to question witnesses. Unfortunately, I don’t get that opportunity. However, I would love to be able to regulate the content of speech. The First Amendment prevents me from doing so, and that’s simply a function of the First Amendment, but I think over the long run, it’s better the government does not regulate the content of speech.”

Northeastern Syria Administration Calls For Total Mobilization Following Erdogan Threats

On December 12, the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in northeastern Syria condemned Turkey’s plan to launch an attack on the region and called for a “total mobilization” to stop any such aggression.

“Erdogan’s [Turkish President] goal is not the north and east of Syria, but the Syrian territorial unit. At the time when IS utter their last breath in Deir ez-Zor, Erdogan is trying, through his threats, to invade Syria to ease them and prolong their life,” the DAA, which govern the areas held by the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said in an official statement.

Furthermore, the DAA called on the international community, the US-led coalition and NATO countries to take a stand against “Erdogan’s aggressive plans” and prevent any attack on northeastern Syria.

“We also call on the Syrian government to take the official position against this threat because Erdogan wants to occupy a part of Syria and this means an attack on the Syrian sovereignty,” the DAA added.

Erdogan had vowed to launch a military operation in the SDF-held area within a few days. According to Syrian opposition sources, the operation, which will likely be carried out by the Turkish-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA), will target the border city of Tell Abyad.

Since the beginning of this month, the US-led coalition has established several observation posts along the SDF-held part of the Syrian-Turkish border, including a post near Tell Abyad. However, U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis said that these posts will address Turkey’s “legitimate” concerns, which raises the question if Ankara and Washington had reached an agreement behind the SDF’s back.

Army Captures Cache Of Anti-Aircraft and Anti-Tank Missiles In Southern Syria (Photos)

On December 12, Syrian security forces discovered an underground tunnel containing more than 20 disassembled anti-aircraft missiles on the Syrian-Jordanian border southwest of the Nasib crossing, according to the Russian news outlet Sputnik.

“The armed groups placed their headquarters and weapons depots on the border area with Jordan,” a security source told Sputnik.

Experts identified the surface-to-air missiles as the Soviet-made V-750 and V-600, which are used in the S-75 and S-125 air defense systems. Dozens of these missiles were stolen by the Free Syrian Army (FSA) from Syrian air defense bases in southern Syria between 2012 and 2014.

In a related development, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) announced that the SAA had uncovered four weapons caches in the eastern and western countryside of Daraa during search operations.

The weapons caches contained the following weapons:

-An Iranian Raad anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) launcher and four missile;

-3 Soviet-made Fagot ATGMs;

-1 Soviet-made Konkurs ATGM;

-1 Russian-made Metis-M ATGM;

-Several rounds for the Soviet-made RPG-29 anti-tank weapon;

-A RPO-A thermobaric rocket launcher;

-A RPG-27 anti-tank rocket-propelled grenade;

-Several US-made M72 LAW anti-tank rocket-propelled grenades;

-loads of ammunition and many machine guns of different calibers.

The SAA seized thousands of tons of weapons in southern Syria over the last three months. Most of these weapons were hidden by radical militants and smugglers.
