I have a question that maybe someone here can answer. Over the last 3 days, out of the blue, I started getting a ton of Arab followers on twitter. I already had quite of few blue check mark (verified) accounts from the Middle East following me. Then suddenly, I picked up 600 or more followers in less than 3 days (I had around 1240 followers before this happened, now I have almost 2000). I don't mind, I follow everyone back. But I want to make sure this isn't a scam or something. Some of the new followers are verified also.

What could be the reason for this?
