I don't think you will find anything there. I have read that book many many times., IT's about the insanity of war and is set in WWii. Snowden is a minor character we meet only once, as he dies in the arms of the main character. I see no cabal or satanic connections to the book or author.

I will say that I am reminded of the book each time ES comes up, and did think about asking the question "Where are all the Snowdens of yesterday" during the Q&A (you'd have to read the book).
