Navy ops South of Newport RI
Looking for something or an exercise, idk.
Been there for quite some time.
There has been a marked uptick in military activity along this stretch of coast in 2018.
Fighters overhead every night.
Lots of helo’s etc.
Still can’t figure why Finnish SAR Vessels keep showing up South of Nova Scotia. There was even a 33’ sailboat registered in Finland around. Very Weird.
Friends near Otis say there’s been a lot of Learjet types in and out of the base.
Couple of weeks ago two Chinooks flew in then left on a heading towards Montauk a few hours later.
Guys working out on the edge say they’ve been getting buzzed by fighters also.
We used to get buzzed by them all the time years ago when the base was still operational.
