If we take the hearing at its face value, the whistleblowers submitted evidence 4 times and only recently did anyone at DOJ take notice.
This would indicate that an investigation into the CF is relatively new and that Huber and his crew have not been "on it" very long.
Repeated submissions of letters and evidence go unheeded until recently- the 757s going to Little Rock being the only reliable indicator of something going on.
The dudes were into a lot of hyperbole and into the weeds and their two-step answers were difficult for everyone to follow.
Q has hinted that Huber was disclosed by Sessions because he needed to give up a name. Huber's office calling the dudes back for clarification and "thank you" is intriguing.
One can hope that one of the other US Attorney's offices took the evidence and has been very, very quietly investigating and that part of Huber, being burned publicly by Sessions, is a head-feint.
The facts as we are given them would suggest DOJ incompetence or protection of the Clintons - or both.
I'm torn on their unwillingness to share the documents given to the IRS & FBI with the committee. You never tell Congress that you have filed documents and then won't produce them. Congress likes paperwork.
Not their finest hour.
We know they're mercenaries because they get paid off the recovery of taxes and other statutory rewards. They should have simply been clear about this. "Hey, we investigate folks and get paid the whistleblower rewards." Nothing wrong with that at all. I've done it myself with Medicare fraud - CMS pays 10% of whatever they get back.
The part that IS telling is that the IRS is interested after the "denial" letter and follow-up. If you paid close attention, it is the CF that is liable for the TAXES to the IRS for what it owes as a for-profit entity, but what you may have missed is that the DONORS are now on the hook for writing off the DONATIONS to a charity that isn't.
So, if you gave $1M to CF and wrote it off on your taxes, you now are subject to getting a tax bill for the past donations…
Welcome to Tax Hell.
