The Yellow vests have peacefully brought most of France to a standstill - the highways are empty and roundabouts on main road routes are blockaded by Yellow Vests. There has been violence in Paris and the media focuses its attention there to distract from the state of affairs elsewhere in rural France.

The French people understand the best way to defeat the state without violence is to bring it to a halt and shut the system down.
