Symbolism Anons.
I bought these for next to nothing from a Salvation Army store some years ago… pre-Q. At the time I didn’t know what they were or why someone had roughly brazed the cast brass ‘ornaments’ onto steel flat bars. I asked the sales lady and she didn’t know either but suggested they may be some sort of veggie garden spikes.
Two I made into small keyrings and the two following I filed off a bit of excess cast metal.
I kept the cut off bars because, well… you just don’t know when such metal bits can come in handy. (Hoarderitis extrēmus.)
With eyes opened I can now see the symbolism in most of them and strongly believe that they’re meat skewers. Perhaps even home made cannibalism cookery utensils which is a nice way of writing ‘dead baby spikes’. (Yes, I’ve become really rather thick skinned, hard of mind and easily able to ‘disconnect’.)
Minoan bull head with double-bitted axe (labrys).
Bulls head,
Owl,
Sailing ship with fish shaped hull and stern (the tail),
Sphinx,
Helmeted soldier (Greek hoplite?).
Individually they mean little but either bulls heads + the owl = Moloch. Does anyone have any idea what this particular combination of symbols means or on an individual level the fish hulled ship or soldier?
The fish reminds me of the Egyptian Osiris/Isis sex magic ritual/myth as in the image of John Podesta with raised palms, a fish drawn on one and the number 14 on the other - Spirit Cooking.
Thanks.
