Regulated utilities requests to increase fees are based on historic records and can take up to 6 months to process through or deny. This increase was likely in the works and it's just poor timing.

I highly doubt the rate increase filing is connected to the wildfires. PG&E just wanted it. Increases for costs of the fire will come later.

utilityfag not in CA believes this is moar fake news.

The point I was making is; filing for an increase takes 6-9 months typically for a PUC to process. This ONE filing that was pointed out is not related to the fires, as insinuated.

Vandalism along power lines is common. It is the utilities responsibility to monitor and repair. That is a separate matter than to what I initially responded.

seriously if you're going to call out a utilityfag you can't come from a place of emotion.

The fire was horrific and I believe PG&E is at fault. That doesn't change facts.

I absolutely believe the med industry has gone out of control of the last 30 years. It is consumers fault as well for falling for their line to push consumerism.

We are living in a world where it's no longer about consumer ailments; its driven by pharmaceuticals and the medical industry.

They predicted growth in the medical industry because of boomers and then, to make it actually happen, added all kinds of cosmetic things to covered costs.
