this is most probably an artifact of the drawing software.
Signal went off over japan, went back on close to US but the software is unable to paint a line going right to left (pacman style).

The dot tracks mathematical correlation between random number generators around the world.
Having this strong correlation for this long is HIGHLY unlikely unless the algorithm is somehow skewed.
