If you are taxed at 100 percent for the fruit of your labor you are obviously a slave…
If you are taxed at ZERO percent then you are obviously a FREE person.
Where is the line?
What percentage is acceptable for a free person…
Zero is the only answer right?

I live off grid. Make my own food and still lose my OWNED property if I do not pay property tax.
And I barter much.
I should be able to remove myself from tax if I remain on my own property.
Exception would be sales tax… I have a choice to not purchase things and remain untaxed.
Without a choice there is not freedom.
