Was thinking the same thing this morning - WHY do we need a Federal Depart of Education and a State Department of Education - Our school are local - we need teachers and local administrators - other than that? What do these State and Federal "Education" people do when they go to work every day? Sit around and work on the Penske file like George Costanza on Seinfeld?
Why - $68 BILLION for the Federal Department of Education. None of this is necessary. Loans can be done locally. We don't need "grants" - we give you our money and you redistribute, Laws and Guidance? NOPE, Data? NOPE
Eliminate the Federal Department of Education - save $68 BILLION
