It's in plenty of time to correct for the 2018 elections. We may have federal election monitors in NYC where the guy in charge of elections there was filmed by James O'Keefe saying that he couldn't stop the massive cheating going on in NYC voting.

The SH elementary school was already vacant, had been for several years, according to some evidence like a flyover showing a vacant parking lot there on what seems to have been a school day. It seems the high school in Parkland FL was not empty and was being used as a school that very day. So the situations seem different.
I have to think the insurance payment to tear down the building, or whatever, is a small consideration at most in deciding on operations like this.
