Better than nothing is what they want you to believe. Govt prospers by taking in more taxes not on providing good service. Insurance companies prosper on treatment not cures. Before big pharma and health insurance people could afford insurance and hospitals. Before vaccines there was less diabetes, nobody ever heard of peanut allergies, gluten allergies, lactose intolerance, cancer was rare. Drugs were also affordable…until prescription insurance became widespread.
If doctors had to charge what the market will bear rather than what the insurance company will allow, rate would be reasonable again. Insurance is evil whether it is a private company or the govt, neither one has the publics interest as their motivation. Why do you think everyone is here looking for a plan to escape the clutches of govt? Govt is the problem not the solution.
