>>4326660 pb Comment on the post about Prison Barges. I am the anon who posted the original post and two pictures of the prison barge in Morehead City NC headed for Cuba in bread 5435. The post from the previous bread had a picture of a different prison barge that is also from New York called the Vernon C Bain. It is larger and blue and white. So nobody chases the wrong barge I wanted to specify that the blue and white barge which is a picture easily found on the internet was not the one sited and photograghed by my family member recently. It is possible that it has undergone a journey south, but I cannot confirm or deny it. I dont want you chasing/digging false info. The only additional data I have concerning the white barge is the they were swapping crews, or getting a new crew while in Morehead City.
I can try to find that out for you, however my family member said he thought they were local to the port and would transfer off to bigger tugs for the journey to Cuba.
