Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras called on Monday for a parliamentary investigation into the bribery allegations against Swiss pharmaceutical firm Novartis and several politicians, including EU home affairs commissioner Dimitri Avramopoulos. Novartis is suspected of having paid politicians to improve access to its products on the Greek market. Last week, Avramopoulos denied any wrongdoing and said he would legally challenge the allegations.

A  Belgian court on Friday threatened Facebook with a fine of up to 100 million euros (125 million dollars ) if it continued to break privacy laws by tracking people on third-party websites.

In a case brought by Belgium’s privacy watchdog, the court also ruled that Facebook had to delete all data it had gathered illegally on Belgian citizens, including people who were not Facebook users themselves.

Facebook has long been under scrutiny over its privacy policies. The company was fined €1.2 million last year by a court in Spain for privacy violations, for example. Now, a Brussels judge has found it guilty of violating European Union privacy laws.

The decision issued this week, which stems from a 2015 lawsuit alleging that the social network illegally monitored users’ internet activity, says that the company ran afoul of EU privacy laws by failing to state which user data it saves, how long it stores the data, and how it uses it.
