WaPo article "Hateful Conspiracies Thrive on YouTube despite pledge to clean up problematic videos" cited the following groups and individuals as "researchers":

* Network Contagion Research Institute
* AlgoTransparency (Guillaume Chaslot)

University veneer of professionalism conceals a far-Left department that portrays conservatives as distrustful of MSM ( = paranoid) and thus prone to conspiracy theories but seems totally unaware of their own desire for social control. But check out "Controlling the Conversation: The Ethics of Social Platforms and Content" (link below).

Trump coverage reveals their bias: They think Trump is a complete loser; easy to find articles like "The Cruel Image of Border Protection," and "Avoiding Questions about Trump's Mental Health is a Betrayal of Public Trust." But other articles reveal that they want what we have ("Creating a Fox News for the Left") and their confusion over we don't like or trust them ("How Did Republicans Learn to Hate the News Media?").

Jonathan Albright is their Research Director, despite the fact that it looks like he has just a Masters from Oregon State U. and a Ph.C. from the U. of Auckland.(Some sources list a Ph.D., but wo/a field; suspicious). He's a pioneering figure in MSM efforts to "expose fake news," by discovering how non-MSM social media sites interact to create support for non-MSM political causes (while a Google contractor). He calls the "fake news" network he found the "Micro-Propaganda Machine (#MPM) and explains that "far right propagandists were sharing links to the mainstream media only to refute and distort their reporting." https://www.wired.com/story/shadow-politics-meet-the-digital-sleuth-exposing-fake-news/
