Ok, so I guess I don't know the laws in NY, but I do know the laws in my state.
Underage children are not allowed into bars. You must be 21.
At one time it was legal for you to be in a bar with your parent(s), but that has now even changed.
If you enter a bar (sometimes mothers carrying a baby might enter a bar to talk to someone quick) with a child, usually the bartender will immediately tell you that you cannot be in the bar with a child.
So, I guess I don't quite get NY laws.
