“Britain’s political class could see a revolution like they’ve never seen before,” yellow vests UK warn

The Yellow Vest movement is not on course to end anytime soon, with British activists taking to the streets of London on Friday. They donned the appropriate yellow high vis vests and blocked traffic, chanting pro-Brexit slogans.

One yellow vest protester tells of their want to reclaim Great Britain as told to Sputnik: “We don’t want to be part of the federal European superstate that’s going to erode our rights and take away democracy.

“This is Britain. We are not European. We have never been European. This is our land and we are taking it back. If the political class don’t like it, they will see a revolution like they’ve never seen before.

“It is time to take up the spirit of Oliver Cromwell, rise up and reclaim what’s rightfully ours.”

The yellow vests were outside Downing Street, Westminster Bridge, Tower Bridge and London Bridge on Friday, saying they aren’t going anywhere, determined to support Brexit as well as other issues:

Rocket Lab sends 13 miniature satellites into orbit from New Zealand for NASA

Rocket Lab has sent its first payloads for NASA into orbit from its New Zealand launch pad, atop a low-cost Electron rocket powered by 3-D-printed engines.

Liftoff from Launch Complex 1 on New Zealand’s Mahia Peninsula came at 7:33 p.m. Dec. 16 New Zealand time (10:33 p.m. PT Dec. 15), after a two-day delay due to weather concerns.

Ten of the 13 small satellites packed aboard the rocket were funded through NASA’s Educational Launch of Nanosatellites program, or ELaNa. The other three came along for the ride, and are designed to test new imaging technologies and study how high-frequency radio signals travel through Earth’s ionosphere.

This is the 19th ELaNa mission, but the first conducted under NASA’s Venture Class Launch Services program, which is aimed at taking advantage of smaller-scale, lower-cost launch vehicles such as the 56-foot-tall Electron. The fixed-price cost of the launch is $6.9 million, which is roughly a tenth of what a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch would cost.

Boeing opens first 737 plant in China amid U.S.-Sino trade war

ZHOUSHAN, China (Reuters) - Boeing Co (BA.N) opened its first 737 completion plant in China on Saturday, a strategic investment aimed at building a sales lead over arch-rival Airbus (AIR.PA) in one of the world’s top travel markets that has been overshadowed by the U.S-China trade war.

The world’s largest planemaker also delivered the first of its top-selling 737s completed at the facility in Zhoushan, about 290 km (180 miles) southeast of Shanghai, to state carrier Air China (601111.SS)(0753.HK) during a ceremony on Saturday with top executives from both companies.

The executives, alongside representatives from China’s state planner and aviation regulator, unveiled the plane at an event attended by hundreds of people.

Boeing and Airbus have been expanding their footprint in China as they vie for orders in the fast-growing aviation market, which is expected to overtake the United States as the world’s largest in the next decade.

Numbers on the Border: The immigration stats President Trump didn’t talk about this week

Something remarkable happened in the White House this week, as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer met with President Trump to talk about border security amid their standoff over the federal budget.

Introducing ‘Numbers Geek,’ a new podcast from GeekWire and Steve Ballmer’s USAFacts

Yes, it was a spectacle, but more interesting for our purposes was President Trump’s attempt to ground the debate in numbers, making a case for a border wall by citing a reduction in “illegal traffic” in locations where he said the approach has been effective in blocking unauthorized immigration.

“A lot of the wall is built. It’s been very effective,” he said. “I asked for a couple of notes on that. If you look at San Diego, illegal traffic dropped 92 percent once the wall was up. El Paso, illegal traffic dropped 72 percent, then ultimately 95 percent once the wall was up. In Tucson, Arizona, illegal traffic dropped 92 percent. Yuma, it dropped illegal traffic 95 to 96 percent.”

Those numbers were only part of the story. On this bonus episode of the Numbers Geek podcast, from GeekWire and USAFacts, we explore the numbers behind border apprehensions and border patrol agents to illustrate the long-term trends in the numbers, and ground the debate in a common understanding of the numbers.

Global Warming and Grizzly Bears: Canada's Neo-Liberal Hell

A new form of neo-liberal miasma took root in Canada which betrays our roots as an accepting people. This process began in earnest during Occupy when the then ruling US democrats under Obama started heavily infiltrating the youth in British Columbia through the Sierra Club and other environmental NGO's. This crowd, having been groomed and funded openly for the last 10 years, was recently exposed in a report broadcast on Global News by Vivian Krause. She details how the environmental groups opposing the Trans-Mountain pipeline, which is supposed to bring Alberta oil to port in British Columbia, has been funded from California big-tech companies and Soros' Tides Foundation.

Alberta's oil industry is now hitting rock bottom, with Premier Notley announcing they will be cutting oil production until there is an equitable market for their over-produced and under-priced oil. The organizations and their activists opposing the Trans-Mountain pipeline have been well funded and organized, even getting into the Provincial government of British Columbia. It is these same American deep-state interests which are behind Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland, his handler, through an organization called Canada 2020.

The goal of these groups over the last ten years was to form government, and they succeeded. Today the Green Party of BC, joined in a coalition with the BC New Democratic Party, (traditionally a labour-oriented party) are in power in the province of British Columbia. Again, these groups, and their supporters scattered across Canada, are the only people that Trudeau's message resonates with. And the rest of the Old Left in Canada, best characterized as Corbyn-esque, is seething with shock, disbelief and brewing anger at what Canada has become. What follows is a prime example of the collective insanity of this imported New Left ideology.

NYC Council grills Amazon over HQ2: ‘You’re worth $1 trillion. Why do you need our $3 billion?

Amazon got a healthy dose of New York brashness Wednesday as city councilmembers grilled company executives and their economic development partners over the plan to build a 25,000-person office in Queens.

Amazon’s appetite for incentives was a key concern raised by the Council, along with frustration over the bid’s lack of transparency and the bypassing of the traditional land-use process. Total incentives from New York City and the state could amount to $3 billion.

“You’re worth a trillion dollars,” said New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, citing the company’s massive market value. “Why do you need our 3 billion dollars when we have crumbling subways, crumbling public housing, people without healthcare, public schools that are overcrowded?”
